How It Began

After retiring from my UK travel career, I bought a property in the Central Algarve. It was always my dream and now it's become a reality: Almost guaranteed sunshine, wonderful food, superb vino, beautiful landscapes, friendly people and excellent value for money. My friends came out to visit, then some more friends came out to stay, they came back and then they came back again and I was frequently being asked where to stay, what about accommodation, can I arrange transfers...

So I decided to start Sharon's Solutions to help other people to experience this wonderful part of Portugal.

My Service

At no cost to you, I will help you choose accommodation and transfers. I will use all my experience and contacts to find you the best services at the best prices. I will advise on where to stay to suit the type of holiday you want and will even help with bars, restaurants, events and places of interest.

I'm also able to help with venues for celebrations, as well as social events such as your own personal wine tasting and private dining.

Excerpts from the ITM website in 2014 documenting the category winners.

Previously I worked as a Travel Manager for a large international insurance company where my responsibilities included rate negotiations with suppliers e.g. Eurostar, Europcar, Trainline, British Airways, Virgin Airways and Virgin Trains as well as numerous events companies.

I was also tasked with arranging various corporate events such as company away days, seminars and large company conferences both in the UK and abroad.

The highlight of my career was receiving the Institute of Travel & Meetings (ITM) "Travel Manager of the Year" award in 2014. I received my award at a lavish event held at the Celtic Manor in Newport.

This experience and the love of travel have never left me and now I am transferring my knowledge and experience to Sharon's Solutions so that you, the holidaymaker, can benefit from my skills and contacts.
